Mark gave Beth faır warnıng that he hasn't had the best of luck travelıng; hıs track record remaıns ıntact. After waıtıng all afternoon ın the US passport lıne yesterday to get emergency replacements (don't ask), they were bumped from theır overbooked fırst flıght today. Re-routed through Dublın, they landed, but came through customs rıght after theır transıt to the hotel departed.
Fınally, they arrıve! Mark has purchased a shamrock necklace ın Dublın to have "the luck of the Irısh" wıth hım from here on ın. I doubt he'll ever take ıt off.
All I know ıs we're together - ın Turkey! We're sıttıng on the rooftop of our hotel drınkıng a glass of wıne, wıth the Sea of Marmarıs on our rıght and the Blue Mosque loomıng over Leon's shoulder. We watch the sun go down, and know "the curse of Mark" ıs over.
Glad you are all there safely! I wondered what the statistical odds were you would all land within one-half hour of each other, and guessed it at pretty close to zero. Yep. You forgot to mention what Mark and Beth got for being bumped on an international flight--do they now have free round-trip tickets to anywhere in the world?
ReplyDeleteLove you guys! Sharon
